Description

Head out of New York to experience the history and heritage of Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia—the City of Brotherly Love. Visit D.C. musts like the National Air & Space Museum, the National Mall, and Arlington National Cemetery, and travel back to the early days of the United States in Philly.

Day 1: Washington, D.C., National Air & Space Museum & Monuments & Memorials Tour
Grab a seat on a comfortable coach in Manhattan and ride south, passing through New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland on your way to D.C. Start your day in the nation's capital with a visit to the National Air & Space Museum, where you can learn about aviation and space exploration thanks to this beloved institution's fascinating exhibits.

From the museum, venture out into the city to see the marble monuments and serene memorials that line the National Mall. Imagine lawmakers at work beneath the grand dome of the US Capitol building, and ponder past presidents at the Washington Monument, the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, and the Lincoln Memorial. Spend some time reflecting at the sobering Vietnam Veterans Memorial and the haunting Korean War Veterans Memorial, and finish p your tour outside the White House at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

Day 2: Arlington National Cemetery & Philadelphia
Start your morning with a visit to beautiful Arlington National Cemetery. Your guide leads you to the burial sites of Robert and John F. Kennedy, and then you have the opportunity to see the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Solider. Once you've left this hallowed space, ride north to Philadelphia, where you can spot landmarks from the early days of the United States. Snap a photo of the famous crack in the Liberty Bell, and then stand outside Independence Hall—where the U.S. Constitution was written and John Hancock put his famous signature on the Declaration of Independence. Once you've wrapped up your exploration of the City of Brotherly Love, settle in for the ride back to Manhattan.
