Day 1: Puebla & Cholula
Visit 2 beautiful and important cities in the history of Mexico—Cholula and Puebla—each located just two miles from Mexico City. Along the way, catch breathtaking views of the Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl volcanoes. In Cholula, admire its impressive Santa María de Tonantzintla Church, a fusion of indigenous and Baroque style with a gold-decorated interior. Continue to Puebla, the UNESCO-listed “City of Angels” where you can stop for lunch—it's the birthplace of mole—before walking along the historic city center to admire talavera, the exquisite pottery that ornaments the city's buildings and façades.

Day 2: Taxco & Cuernavaca
Drive to Cuernavaca, known as the “City of the Eternal Spring,” and visit the Palacio of Cortés, the Renaissance-style cathedral. Admire the monument of Morelos, the military insurgent and leader of the Mexican War of Independence, before continuing to colonial Taxco. Learn about the city's silver history—the oldest known mine in the Americas is here—and walk the cobbled streets to admire the magnificent Santa Prisca Church, built in 1759. Admire the wide range of artisan silver pieces produced by locals.
