Firstly, head over to The Nenba district, standing on the shores of Lake Saiko, with the stunning Mt. Fuji as a backdrop, was once an area lined with thatched roof houses. Nowadays however, that image has all but disappeared. So, with the aim of reviving that traditional Japanese scene of a thatched roof village, Fujikawaguchiko-machi has restored approx. 20 thatched roof houses and created “Saiko Iyashino-Sato Nenba.” The village has a variety of facilities for everyone to enjoy. In each individual building, you can enjoy traditional craft making activities, museums and galleries, shopping of local products.

Afterward, visit Oshino Hakkai, nestled between Lake Kawaguchi and Lake Yamanaka. The water from the eight ponds here come directly from Mt. Fuji. As it's filtered down the mountain and through various layers of lava, the water is safe to drink.

On the way of going to Hakone, there is a city called Gotemba which has been flourishing as the town of roads-crossing. In which we savor a Japanese cuisine like local people would do.
