Description

Experience the best of Eastern Canada on an adventurous, 9-day outing with a group of like-minded travelers. Tour the streets of Montréal, Québec City, and Ottawa, take in the natural beauty of Mont-Tremblant and Fort-Coulonge, and rest up each night in shared hostel accommodations.

Day 1 - Toronto to Montréal:Our adventure begins early with a friendly welcome from your Moose guide before we journey toward Montréal. Next is a lunch stop before a cruise through the Thousand Islands. (cruise included).

Day 2 - Montréal: This morning we explore Montréal, City of Festivals, and an important cultural mecca in French-speaking Canada. (Breakfast included).

Day 3 - Montréal to Québec City: This morning we visit Montmorency Falls before arriving in Québec City. The city is renowned for its historic defence walls. (Breakfast and dinner included).

Day 4 - Québec City:Take time today to wander the city; a walk down to the Lower Town is a must-do! You have the option to embark on a whale watching excursion from a small francophone village, Tadoussac, is available for a fee.

Day 5 - Québec City to Mont-Tremblant: Up bright and early to journey to Mont-Tremblant, a beautiful region located in the Laurentian Mountains. Our lunch stop today is Mont-Tremblant National Park where we will enjoy some beautiful scenery during our hike. (Dinner included).

Day 6 - Mont-Tremblant to Ottawa: This morning we journey to Ottawa, Canada’s capital city. En route, we stop for an interactive look at Canadian wildlife including deer, bear, moose, and caribou; feeding the animals is part of the experience!

Day 7 - Ottawa to Fort-Coulonge: We depart in the afternoon for Fort-Coulonge. If you choose to raft the next day (extra fee) you are in good hands; the Esprit team was voted one of top rafting companies in the world by National Geographic! (Breakfast and dinner included).

Day 8 - Fort-Coulonge: Enjoy another great meal tonight alongside a sunset over the Ottawa River. (Breakfast and dinner included, lunch included if you are rafting).

Day 9 - Fort-Coulonge to Toronto: After breakfast we journey back to Toronto, with a lunch stop at Bon Echo Provincial Park, famous for the impressive 100 metre high clff Mazinaw Rock. (Breakfast included).

Know Before You Book

  • Children 17 and younger must be accompanied by a paying adult.

  • Maximum group size is 15 people.

  • Vegetarian meal options are available, and most hotels are equipped with cooking facilities if you would prefer to prepare your own meals.

  • An additional surcharge for whale-watching in Tadoussac and for rafting and lunch in Fort Coulonge is payable directly to the tour operator on the day of the activity. These activities are optional.

  • You may bring 1 piece of luggage weighing 50 pounds (23 kg) or less and 1 carry-on item to take with you on the bus.

  • You will return back to Toronto between 5 PM and 7 PM on Day 9.

  • You should book your pre-departure accommodation in Toronto well in advance.

  • Pickup begins at 8 AM on Day 1 and is available from Hostelling International Toronto, Planet Traveler, and the Moose Travel office.
