Description

Indulge in the adventure of a lifetime during a guided tour through northwestern Australia. Begin in Darwin and journey to Broome, delighting in an itinerary filled with treks to the top of picturesque promontories, dips in dramatic gorges, and the chance to glimpse Aboriginal Australian art at Jubarra National Park.

Your tour begins with convenient hotel pickup in Darwin as the sun is casting its rosy glow over the landscape. On the first day, enjoy a refreshing swim in Edith Falls. Then, devote the next 2 days to discovering northwestern Australia's public lands. Test your mettle on heart-pumping hikes and reward yourself with sights of rock paintings and a trip to Echidna Chasm—a colorful 656-foot (200-m) crevasse deep in the Bungle Bungle Range.

Embark on your longest hike on day 4 with stops at Cathedral Gorge, Piccaninny Creek Lookout, and Nature's Window. Participate in an optional helicopter tour at the end of this extraordinary day. On days 5–8, revel in an invigorating blend of swimming and luxuriating in the region's natural pools, with a chance to check out a spring-fed waterfall at El Questro Gorge on day 6.

Sleep under the stars and in comfortable tents each night. Benefit from the presence of a support van, allowing you to complement your intrepid hikes with stretches of respite. On day 9, cap your exploits off at Windjana Gorge where you can hope to catch sight of freshwater crocodiles before concluding your unforgettable excursion in Broome.
