A doo-wop-fueled revival of the classic film A Bronx Tale, this vibrant new musical is set against a backdrop of racial strife and organized crime. With a book and score by an award-winning team and co-direction by Robert de Niro, A Bronx Tale: The Musical brings the Bronx of the 1960s to life.

Mob bosses, family men, and wise guy henchmen take the stage as the curtain comes up on A Bronx Tale: The Musical. This is the story of Chazz Palmintieri, whose original one-man version of the play recounted events from his own life. For the modern musical rendition, Palmintieri penned a book that comes alive under co-direction by Broadway pro Jerry Zaks and Robert de Niro, who was both behind and in front of the camera for the beloved cinematic version of the show.

Catchy songs and jazzy choreography spur the action along as Italian-American teenager Calogero tries to forge his future amid the stoops, fire escapes, and city streets of the Bronx. Lured under the wing of charismatic mob boss Sonny but torn by dedication to his sincere, hard-working father, Calogero is pitched into an up-tempo, finger-snapping urban adventure that's all about loyalty, love, and finding your roots.

This show was fantastic great to see it in New York. shame its ending on Sunday. Maybe the producers would consider bringing to London, if they do it would be well worth seeing.
