What you can expect

Atitlán Lake, described by travelers as one of the most beautiful lakes in Central America surrounded by an impressive landscape formed by 3 volcanoes and 11 Mayan villages.

The tour starts when our representative meets you up at the lobby of your indicated hotel in Panajachel. From there, he guides walking to the dock of Panajachel to take a private boat towards Mayan Villages.

We arrive to San Juan la Laguna, another Mayan Village. This was the first Village of the site to apply sustainable practices and continues to be an inspiration for the entire country. Here, when we get off the boat, we start walking over the “handicrafts market” and start a cultural tour including textiles, the creation of colors, chocolate, medicinal plants, and art galleries.

Boat transfer back to Santiago Atitlán, where we learn about the difference of Mayan ethnic groups with their unique textile patterns and colors, religious syncretism, fruits, and vegetables at the street market.

Boat transfer back to Panajachel at 14:00 hrs.
