Description

Discover Shanghai's must-see sights on this full-day tour. Visit the many architectural sites that are influenced by different dynasties and colonization.

Be picked up from your Shanghai city hotel and make your first stop at the Jade Buddha Temple. Built during the Qing dynasty, this unique building hosts a priceless collection of jade statues from Burma. Continue on to the People's Square and admire its garden landscapes and landmarks.

Visit the world-class Shanghai Museum, whose architectural design was influenced by the renowned feng shui masters. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant before heading to Yuyuan Garden, whose beautiful natural surroundings and ponds inspired scholars of the Ming dynasty.

Stroll along Shanghai Old Street and see a mix of architectural influence from the Ming and Qing dynasties. Move from shop to shop browsing a diverse collection of retail items and businesses.

Proceed to the iconic Bund and see Shanghai’s waterfront. Find a showcase of pre-1949 architecture, which symbolizes both old and new Shanghai. Explore the silk factory to get a behind-the-scenes overview of the silk industry and make your way to the Xintiandi entertainment district.

Take your transfer back to the hotel or end your tour by staying in this lively district.

Guide was punctual, friendly and very knowledgeable. The restaurant could have been better. Not very tasty food.

Inconvenience started with when I have to reach & dispose to the starting point & hotel by myself however tour itinerary says complimentary pickup from Hotel. Expedia didn't helped either only sent acknowledgement email stating that they are in discussion with tour agency. Tour Guide Frank was very un-energetic. No proper insight and explanation of the tour spots. And if you ask question he feels irritated by his expression. He makes Shanghai such a dull place even though it's not. He rushed from every point just wanted to complete his work. As a result tour of 8 Hrs is completed in 5 hours. And also in 5 hours sufficient time~2 Hrs was given to Silk & Pearl Emporiums where they want tourist to spend and they can have their share. Total waste of money. Its better to go for Tip based Walking Tours provided by other operators rather wasting ~80$+Transportation (30$) for pathetic tour service by Frank. Lunch is also very worrysome so I have to spend extra for same. Full waste of money!

The tour guide was knowledgeable. The overall tour was great but it was the third silk and pearl shop stop from our trip here in China so was kind of over it. To be fair, the presenter at the silk store was better than the one we had in Beijing. Over all we were satisfied since the size of the tour was also more intimate.
