Description

Discover everything that makes Bruny Island amazing with our sightseeing and food tour. Taste local fresh produce; everything from oysters to cider, chocolate, fudge and artisan cheeses. You'll get to spot wildlife in their habitat, walk the beaches, smell the rainforests, climb The Neck Lookout and tour the iconic Cape Bruny Lighthouse, perched above the craggy Tasmanian coastlines.

You'll enjoy a scenic country and coastal drive to Kettering, here you will board the ferry and enjoy the beautiful scenery as you head towards Bruny Island. You'll begin the day climbing the Neck and Adventure Bay lookout and visiting the berry farm in Adventure Bay. Pick up our wonderful cheeses and sit on one of the local beaches for our Picnic Style Cheese Tasting experience. Then it's a scenic drive through rainforest and over Mount Mangana to Cape Bruny. You'll relax with a big lunch of local produce. Choose from an extensive menu of locally caught fresh fish, succulent local lamb, salmon, seafood chowder or the popular seafood platter for two (Gluten free and vegetarian options available). A collaboration of fine food with Hotel Bruny, The Island Producers and Tasmanian produce, overlooking Sunset Beach. If that's not enough why don't you enjoy the Bruny Island Cider tasting…. You'll have to leave room for the freshly shucked oysters up next though, farmed just a few hundred metres from where you sit, overlooking the d'Entrecasteaux Channel. You'll visit South Bruny Island National Park where you'll be astounded by the spectacular and rugged coastal views, expanses of coastal vegetation and the wildlife including whales, white wallabies, eagles, echidnas and more that call this area their home. Go on a tour of the Iconic Bruny Island Lighthouse and learn about the history of this lovely building, taking in sea views from its balcony. Your afternoon will be full of more local delights with Chocolate and Fudge tasting with yummy samples of course and plenty of time to shop…. With another stop at the Cheese Company giving you the opportunity to sample and purchase your favourite cheese to take home. We stop at many of the islands main attractions. The Neck Wildlife Zone, Mount Mangana, Adventure Bay, South Bruny National Park and Cape Bruny Lighthouse.

Chiller box onboard each bus to keep your purchases cool.

Nigel was a fantastic guide, he was informative and entertaining from the beginning to the end. We enjoyed everything we did and saw so much more than what we would have if self driven. Well worth the money.

A lovely day out with a good mix of anecdotes and hisstorical facts. Fabulous food, views to die for and an interesting mix of weather from bright sunshine to hail! The only thing stopping me giving it 5* was the lack of a microphone so one couldn't hear much of the commentary at the back of the minibus.
