It took hours to get to the airport because of all of the pick ups along the way. The flight was awesome. When we got to the ruins we waited at least half an hour for our tickets and to get in. Our guide was great, but we only had one hour at the ruins. I thought we would have a lot more time to explore the ruins, but we had to be back at the airport at 11 for our flight back. Overall, the people involved in the tour were great, but it was definitely not worth the money. With all the time we spent waiting and in transit, we could have just taken a bus tour in the same amount of time and could have spent more time at the ruins. Disappointed.

Flying to Chichen Itza takes 40 minutes each way and saves hours on the to/from 6 hour bus ride. Our trip was well coordinated by the agent and was a 'breeze'. We went there early and we were back by 1.30pm - easy!! Well worth the money! We felt very safe in the small Cessna 206 (6 seater) and the pilot was very friendly.
