Description

No visit to Ireland would be complete without a trip to the world-famous Cliffs of Moher, and this tour lets you pair that experience with a scenic drive through the country's beautiful Burren region. It's an easy way to feast your eyes on the rugged landscape that makes the emerald-colored island so special.

Take your choice of convenient hotel pickup or meeting your guide at the Galway Coach Station before setting out on a drive through the Irish countryside to the Burren. This expansive karst landscape is characterized by the grikes and clints, or small peaks and valleys, run along its limestone pavement. See Aillwee Cave, which is made up of more than a kilometre of passages leading into the heart of the hillside.

Continue on to the world-famous Cliffs of Moher, at the island's westernmost edge. 702 feet (214 m) at their highest, these jaw-dropping cliffs offer you the opportunity to walk along their rim while gazing out at the seemingly endless Atlantic Ocean below.

Journey to nearby Dunguaire Castle, a 16th-century tower house in on the southeastern shore of County Galway. Enjoy the opportunity to see this well-preserved stronghold up close before moving on to the charming coastal village of Doolin in County Clare. Admire the tiny town's colorfully painted houses and storefronts, and take some time to explore. End your tour with a relaxing coach ride back to Galway.

Gerard was a fun driver to have! The stops were exactly what we were looking for, and a bonus stop too. It was grand to view the countryside without worrying about driving myself. I would highly recommend Lally’s, and would use them again.

The Cliffs ate a must-see. Simply awesome. The path up to the Cliffs is gradual with places to rest. Prior to that you may be asked if see the Allsee Cave. I would not recommend doing so
