Description

Explore the history of aerial combat across both world wars with a pair of immersive exhibitions designed to put you in the midst of the conflicts. From the Great War artifacts in Knights of the Sky to the high-tech displays of Dangerous Skies, you get a vivid impression of life and death in the air.

Knights in the Sky draws from the personal collection of filmmaker Peter Jackson, the visual expertise of Wingnut Films, and the creative talents of the Weta Workshop to produce a lifelike series of dioramas and figures that illustrate scenes from World War I. Its collection of rare memorabilia combines finely crafted trench art and personal items that belonged to flying aces from both sides of the war, along with preserved aircraft like the iconic Fokker triplane.

Dangerous Skies takes you back to the vicious fighting of World War II, recreating the Luftwaffe's assault on Stalingrad in an immersive display that uses detailed computer imagery, laser projections, and surround sound to put you in the midst of the battleground. Along with an educational piece highlighting the fallen of the war, you can see a collection of wartime aircraft that are still kept ready for action.
