As the sun slips behind the horizon, painting the sky in shades of pink and gold, treat yourself to a true Creole evening out on the Mississippi River. Enjoy a paddlewheeler cruise accompanied by a tasty buffet-style New Orleans dinner and listen to live Dixieland jazz while you cruise.

The Creole Queen invites you to step back in time as you board her open-air decks to the drifting sounds of live jazz. Push away from the dock and find your table as the finishing touches are put on your dinner, a sumptuous spread of classic Creole dishes. Fill your plate with classics like spicy jambalaya and sausage gumbo, paired perfectly with crumbly hunks of cornbread.

Take to the dance floor after dinner to move to the sounds of Dixieland jazz, consider grabbing a drink from the onboard bar, or step outside to enjoy the fresh air as you steam down the Mississippi at twilight.

4 out of 5

2.0/5 Apr 22, 2018

The food was pretty good but they started serving around 6:30 & it wasn’t supposed to start before 7. The music was piped in from a band on the observation deck and it seemed more soft rock than jazz. The cruise was a little over 2 hours & stated that it was 3. Definitely not worth the expense.

Food was not good. Everything was Very salty, meat was very dry. I wish they would have a jazz band inside instead of outside. It was cold outside and the band was outside.
