Description

Become a part of the daily life in India's largest city on this trip through the streets of Mumbai. With a chance to join the effort to fight hunger by delivering warm meals to families in need, you can get to know the challenges in this fast-growing metropolis while helping to support the people you meet.

Start the day by meeting your guide in the suburban city of Thane, where you learn about Gabriel Project Mumbai's work serving local schoolchildren in order to encourage both education and nutrition throughout the city. Accompany your guide to visit the areas where the program works, sit in on one of its classes, and see a clinic that was established to look after the health of the 200,000 residents in the neighborhood.

Next, a rickshaw carries you through the bustling streets to a pair of workshops for recycling paper and soap. Take a short walk to the women's kitchen that prepares the program's hot food, where you can learn about Indian cooking and have a light lunch before the tour comes to an end.
