Since its original creation more than 70 years ago, Chicago-style deep-dish pizza has become an essential part of the city's culture. Learn how to perfect the legendary recipe with a cooking class at Pizzeria Uno, the restaurant credited with inventing the signature cornmeal crust in 1943.

Meet your fellow pizza-lovers at Pizzeria Uno in the heart of the River North neighborhood. Here, listen as an Uno professional with decades of deep-dish knowledge teaches you the origins of the pie and how the recipe has evolved through the years.

Next, it's time to get cooking. Throw on an apron, roll up your sleeves, and watch as your pro shows you how to properly shape your pizza dough into the deep-dish pan. Layer on the cheese, add your choice of toppings, and crush your very own tomatoes for the sauce that goes on top. Pop your creation in the oven and do your best to be patient as your pizza bakes.

Once you hear the ding, it's time to dig in. Enjoy the gooey fruits of your labor as you settle in for a lunch complete with your handmade pizza, side salad, and a drink. End the day with a deep understanding of Chicago's signature pizza and the recipe to recreate at home.

We showed up to the activity with our vouchers

in hand to be told that they were not going to honor our reservation because it wasn't "booked properly" even though we had booked and paid for this activity through a reliable site.
