Description

Venture to picturesque Danzante Island to experience one of Loreto’s hidden gems. Spend a day snorkeling, hiking, and watching out for dolphins and manta rays after cruising in a comfortable speedboat to an unspoiled island.

Leave Loreto behind to explore an arid isle located only 13 miles (22 km) from the peninsula. Named “Dancer Island” by Spanish explorer Francisco de Ulloa, the rocky island is known for its pristine beaches and rugged landscapes. When you arrive, enjoy a refreshing swim or don a snorkel and check out a rich underwater world filled with stunning sea creatures.

With a bit of luck, you might even spot playful dolphins, impressive manta rays, and even majestic whales migrating during the winter. Up above, you can see graceful seabirds—the island's only inhabitants—gracefully gliding in the breeze. After some time in the water, head out on a guided hike down quiet trails where you can admire native plants and towering cacti before you head back to the beach for a tasty lunch to wrap up your excursion.
