Description

Unlock the lineage of the Djabugay people during a guided evening tour to the Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Center. Inside the esteemed cultural institute, feast on a sumptuous buffet meal that showcases local delicacies and participate in a sacred rainforest dance and a captivating fire ceremony.

Your evening extravaganza begins with convenient pickup from your Port Douglas hotel. From here, cruise along the coast until you reach Cairns, where the Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Center beckons. Enjoy evening admission to the site, allowing you to uncover the wonders of the center once the crowds have died down.

During the course of the evening, get to know the rich history of the Djabugay people, whose ancestors inhabited the Kuranda rainforest long before the arrival of European explorers. Converse with members of the staff, many of whom identify as Djabugay, while sipping a welcome beverage and nibbling on canapés.

Before long, it's time for the evening entertainment to begin. Participate in a trio of interactive performances, including a didgeridoo journey, a sacred rainforest dance, and a fire ceremony.
