Description

Uncork the secrets of Chilean wine as you explore 3 of the most renowned wineries in the Maipo Valley, the birthplace of the country's wine industry. Wander the sprawling vineyards while tasting the region's most delicious wines, and then cap it off with lunch at one of the best restaurants outside Santiago.

Following convenient pickup from your Santiago hotel, head to Concha y Toro Winery, one of the largest wine producers in Latin America. Upon arrival, stroll through the stunning 19th-century gardens and then sip some their top award-winning wines. Try their spicy cabernets, seductive syrahs, and oaky chardonnays. Concha y Toro has become one of the most acclaimed wineries in the region, and not just for the wine. Along the way, learn of the myth of the devil in the cellar that scared people away from stealing wine more than 100 years ago.

Your tour continues to Santa Rita Winery, located in the foothills of the Andes. Visit the Andean Museum, where you can find a collection of more than 1,500 pieces of pre-Columbian art. After the museum, it's time to try Santa Rita's aged wines. Sip glasses of their gold medal-winning cabernet, carmenere, and sauvignon blanc. From here, head to historic Doña Paula Restaurant for a mouthwatering à la carte lunch. If the weather is nice, your lunch can be even be enjoyed out in the gardens of the estate.

Your day ends with a visit to Undurraga, one of the oldest wineries in Chile.
