Embark on a tour on board of a motorboat across the Lake Titicaca, be dazzled by the Uros floating islands and meet the unique community of Taquile on this full-day tour from Puno.
This excursion starts with pickup from your hotel in Puno at 6:30 am and transfer to the port. At your arrival, you will visit the Uros floating Islands by motorboat. Stepping on them feels very much like a water bed!. You will then see the houses, the islands and meet its friendly inhabitants. Uros people are descendants of one of the oldest South American groups. You will visit two of the 60 islands before the trip continues.
After a relaxed navigation of approximately 2 and half hours during which you will get the chance to enjoy the spectacular views offered by Lake Titicaca, we get to Taquile island. A 45-minutes long path gradually ascending will take you to the village and will let you enjoy unique views before visiting the communal cooperative, where you will find handy craft textiles of high quality. You will enjoy lunch at one of the many local restaurants. Then it is time to descend: 500 steps will take you down to the main port of the island. Approximately at 2:30 pm, a motorboat will take you back to Puno, and we will transfer you to your hotel once you arrive to the port.
