Description

Travel to Krka National Park, where you can hike between turquoise, cascading waterfalls on a network of wooden boardwalks. Along the way, admire views of Croatia's coastal towns and make a stop in Sibenik to visit the UNESCO-listed St. Jacob's Cathedral.

Begin your full-day adventure by driving between the Dalmatian coast and the hinterland—Croatia's narrow inland region—and admire views of the historic coastal towns of Trogir and Split, along with a feast of natural landscapes. Stop in Sibenik to visit the UNESCO-listed St. James Cathedral, a monument to Renaissance architecture. As the drive continues, spot views of the coast and off-shore islands as your guide describes the local history.

Arrive at Krka National Park, a playground of cascading waterfalls—a scene practically stolen from paradise. Walk along the wooden boardwalks as you admire the scenery, listen for the enchanting songs of rare birds, and watch centuries-old water mills still churning as if frozen in time.

Arrive at the magnificent Skradinski buk, the park's largest waterfall, considered by some to be the most beautiful waterfall in Europe. Enjoy free time to swim beneath the smaller falls and eat your lunch.

Most of the trip was in the car. Barely made it to Krka Falls in time to enjoy the park. The tour guide’s information about Croatia and the cities was difficult to follow.

The waterfalls were good but there was too much boring travelling time on the bus, without doing much actual sightseeing from the bus. There was a very long pickup process for everyone, meaning we got less than 5 hours total visiting the sights in a 10 hour day. I didn't get enough time at the two town destinations in the morning, and we didn't have enough time at the waterfalls. The swimming was great, but too short. The guide was very good, though.

Mostly self guided walks in two places we visited ( ‘guide was not allowed with her permit to guide us in sebenik’ Kraka ( ill advised to bring swim costume , should have gone changed in one) busy place with two toilets and long queues. We could have done this trip without the guide at half the price self guided.
