GyPSy Guide Self-Guided Driving Tour of Calgary

by GPS Tour Guide Inc
  • Free cancellation
  • No booking or credit card fees

Explore Calgary and the Canadian Rockies at your own pace, setting out for a driving tour of the city and region with a high-tech GyPSy Guide leading the way between natural landmarks and downtown attractions.

Turn your own car, RV, or rental car into a self-guided touring vehicle with the GyPSy Guide, a small GPS device that plugs right into your stereo to track your travel and automatically turns its commentary on and off at certain points. Stop along the way for as long as you like—there’s no set order, so pick your own schedule and pace.

Nestled at the foot of the Canadian Rockies, Calgary has a wealth of great natural and man-made attractions for you to explore. Stop at the 350-foot (117-m) long Rosedale Suspension Bridge—built in 1931 for local coal workers, the bridge now provides access to the Canadian Badlands.

At the Royal Tyrrell Museum, check out one of the largest collections of dinosaur skeletons in the world and discover the underwater Alberta of 375 million years ago. In downtown Calgary, admire the heritage buildings along Stephen Avenue and gaze up at The Bow—this skyscraper is the tallest building in Canada outside of Toronto. Don’t miss a chance to explore the nearby capital of Edmonton, as well.

With over 4,000 points of interest, the recorded commentary from professional tour guides covers a wide range of topics, from local scenery, wildlife, and attractions to advance notice for important highway intersections and quirky tales from Canada.
