Half-Day Columbia River Gorge Waterfalls Tour from Portland

by Wildwood Adventures Duration 4h Free cancellation available No booking or credit card fees
per traveler Price is $69

Come experience the grandeur of the Columbia River Gorge, home to some of the world’s most beautiful waterfalls, including Multnomah Falls, sweeping viewpoints and the oldest scenic highway in the United States!

Departing Portland, we’ll head east along the Columbia River toward the Gateway to the Gorge! We will join the beautiful Historic Columbia River Highway, winding our way further into the gorge until we reach our first stop, the Crown Point Vista House, where we can take in the spectacular 180-degree views of the Columbia River and gorge below. Time and weather permitting, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the interior of the Vista House, an intricately designed observatory and museum, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

We’ll continue our journey further into the Columbia River National Scenic Area, where your guide will share information on the history and geology of the gorge along the way, giving insight into what makes this a truly unique and special environment. We’ll be sure to stop at some of the gorge’s most iconic and breathtakingly beautiful waterfalls, including the famed Multnomah Falls where we will spend extra time exploring. This will allow guests the opportunity to enjoy the Multnomah Falls Historic Lodge and if interested, walk to the viewing platform for a closer look at the Benson Bridge and the cascading falls beyond.

Last but certainly not least, we will make a stop at the Bonneville Fish Hatchery, enjoying a short but informative walking tour of the largest fish hatchery in Oregon as well as the Sturgeon Viewing Center! From here, we say goodbye to the lush landscape of the gorge and make our way back to downtown Portland, where the tour will conclude.
