Description

Make sushi for your lunch with expert guidance from a professional chef. Learn to prepare several types of sushi—including both nigiri and maki—in addition to tips for preparing the sushi toppings and learning to cook authentic miso soup.

The Sushi Academy is renowned for training international students in the careful art of sushi preparation, skills they bring back to their countries to satiate the international hunger for this innovative Japanese street food. Without the pressures of starting your own restaurant, learn the basics of making sushi with guidance from an expert chef, learning skills you can bring home to your own kitchen.

Sushi can vary wildly in taste depending on how the ingredients are prepared, and how the physical sushi is constructed. Learn the intricacies of making nigiri, maki, and miso soup in a friendly, hands-on kitchen environment with plenty of support and guidance. At the end of your lesson, savor a delicious lunch consisting of 10 pieces of sushi—perhaps ones you created yourself—before cleaning up the kitchen and thanking your instructor.
