Know before you book

  • Starting time: 15h00 -- Please arrive 10 minutes in advance. We start on time --
  • Days: Monday to Saturday
  • Physical level: Medium - The food tour involves a certain amount of uphill walking on cobble stones and climb down steps, typical from old Lisbon streets.
  • Dietary restrictions: The Portuguese cuisine is based on fish, meat, vegetables, dairy, eggs and bread. We can adapt the tastings to a wide variety of dietary restrictions but the vegan diets. Please let us know when you make the booking if you have any restrictions (i.e.: vegetarian, pescatarian)
  • Our food and cultural walks are not adaptable to vegans
  • What to wear: appetite, good mood, a bottle of water, comfortable clothes and shoes, adapted to the weather.
  • Minimum age- 6 Years

What you can expect

During this Food and Cultural walk we'll be taking you to the Downtown and Mouraria neighborhoods through the off the beaten track to get a unique glimpse of the fascinating historical and ancient Lisbon.

Leading you through the places where locals go in the heart of old Lisbon, we will take you further into the local history, the Fado song roots, the architecture and the city culture, while you discover hidden Portuguese food treasures. You will be introduced to spots where locals go every day!

During around 3,5-4 hours stroll, we lead you in small groups (max.12), small enough so you do not feel like in a touristic tour, but rather among friends in an intimate leisurely walk through Lisbon and its many diamonds in the rough.
