Description

Hop onto a double-decker bus to explore the riverside sights and Highland atmosphere of Inverness at your own pace. Zip easily between all of the city’s major attractions, from the original street between Castle and Kirk and the town's oldest building Abertarff House to the modern Highland Archive Centre.

Settle into a comfortable seat on the bus to cruise through town, hopping on and off as you please to discover the marvels of the cultural capital of the Scottish Highlands. Visit St Andrews Cathedral, and check out churches, homes, and schools designed by Highlands architect Dr Alexander Ross. Hear the fairy tales and legends of enchanted Tomnahurich Hill, and learn about the importance of the Caledonian Canal. Jump off for a monster-seeking cruise along Loch Ness if you'd like, and then take the high road to look out over Kessock Bridge, the Black Isle, and the Inverness Firth out to Fort George.

Head to the south side of Inverness Castle to see the statue of Jacobite heroine Flora MacDonald and the statues of the Three Graces—Faith, Hope, and Charity. Then, travel along General Wade's road past Bellfield Park to reach Holm Mills Shopping Village. For a spot of relaxation, make a stop at Whin Park for a stroll by the boating pond, and consider getting dropped off in the evening at the Eden Court Theatre for a performance.

Great way to strategize your time in Inverness. Recommend you do it on your first day there so you know what to see. Driver was very friendly and helpful

Pleasant way to quickly see the area, although, comparatively speaking, there's not a whole lot to see in Inverness. Price was fair for the length of the trip and information provided.
