Description

See sled dogs in action at the kennel of real Iditarod mushers. Learn about training and commands, meet and play with friendly Alaskan huskies, and take off on a dog-led adventure as you're pulled down forested trails by a happy, barking team.

Get picked up in Seward or make your own way to the kennel, which is located at the home of two passionate Iditarod mushers. Hop in a wheeled wagon strapped to a team of dogs, and then take off through the woods, watching as the dogs take commands and respond to the musher's “gees” and “haws.”

Stop at an active eagle's nest to see majestic birds perched in the branches overhead, and then head back to the kennel, where you can watch an informative multimedia presentation on dog mushing. Ask questions of the mushers, and spend plenty of time cuddling and playing with the kennel's 50 friendly dogs and puppies before heading back to town.

My son and I toured the kennel. We had an amazing time! The dogs are truly incredible. Learning a bit of how they're trained and seeing them, so happy, pulling the wagon was just a blast. We highly recommend this.
