Description

Mosey around the tranquil grounds of Leeds Castle and visit the impressive Canterbury Cathedral that dominates the city of Kent. Make your way to the coast, where you can stand alongside the iconic white cliffs of Dover.

Leave the city, passing through Greenwich, home to the famous Cutty Sark tea clipper and the Primer Meridian. Arrive at Leeds Castle, a charming walled manor that sits on top of a natural lake that serves as its moat. Experience the tranquillity found here by strolling around the pleasant Lady Baillie Gardens with views of the lake, and explore the ‘loveliest castle in the world’.

Next, head to the Canterbury Cathedral, one of the oldest and most famous churches in England, with a bell tower dating back to 1498 and a crypt that was founded in the 11th century. Walk through the remarkable interior, where colourful stained glass, high-arched ceilings, and extravagant cloisters abound.

Continue on to Dover to see the famous White Cliffs, standing 400-feet (122-metre) above sea level. Brooding above the White Cliffs is a view of the sprawling Dover Castle, still watching over the town 800 years after it was first built. Take in some fresh sea air before returning to London.

Leed castle had more than an hour waiting in line to go in and as soon as we were able to get in, we had to leave. Understand there was a flower show, then they need to be informed and adjust tours. Too much time was spent in Canterbury, we could have spent more time in Leeds castle. Was told that I would get refunded for Leed castle tour! Otherwise, it was great!
