Description

Spend a day in the fresh air and beautiful outdoors of the Yamanashi countryside and Mt. Fuji from Tokyo! Meet up with your guide in Shinjuku and hop on a comfortable coach for the ride to begin the tour featuring strawberry picking, stunning mountain scenery and flower viewing.

Start off with strawberry picking in Katsunuma, famed for its fruit production and winemaking, and make your way to a strawberry farm. Grab a basket and head out into the fields, picking sweet, ruby red fruit.

From there, head to Mt. Fuji's Fifth Station, taking the Fuji Subaru Line, for spectacular views of the mountain among the clouds and the majestic foothills and Lake Kawaguchi below. After roaming between scenic viewpoints, refuel over an authentic vegetarian Yamanashi lunch of Hoto hot pot, mountain vegetable rice and crispy tempura.

Continue on to the Shibazakura Festival, where beds of pink shibazakura (moss phlox) flowers in hues that range from dusty rose to bright magenta flank the shores of a serene lake. Explore the gardens and snap some photos for about an hour and take in the picture postcard view of the flowers with Mt. Fuji's snow-capped peak as the backdrop before the return ride to Tokyo.
