Description

Hop on a bike and set off behind a local guide to explore Sicily’s bustling capital on 2 wheels. Cruise through the narrow streets of the old town, learn about daily life in pretty Palermo, and stop to sample tasty Italian street food as you soak up the Mediterranean atmosphere of this riotous Sicilian city.

Meet up with your guide and get situated on a comfortable bike as you discuss potential itineraries for your 2-wheeled excursion. With your choice of 5 different routes, there’s something for everyone on this tailor-made outing. You might choose to roll through Ballarò, the old Jewish Quarter, and Kalsa, or head into Capo, Vucciria, and the District of Gli Spersi. You guide can help you pick the route best suited for you, whether you’re interested in seeing Brancaccio and the Maredolce Castle, Acqua Santa and Arenella, or the city’s plentiful urban parks and green spaces.

As you zip around town, listen to your guide rattle off facts and anecdotes about Sicily’s colorful capital. Seek out little-known pockets of the city, get insider insight into daily life here, and hear entertaining myths and legends about Palermo’s storied past. Refuel partway through your adventure with a stop at a street food stand, where you can bite into a savory sample of authentic Sicilian street food before pedaling on for the rest of your tour.

Better than expected. Daria , our guide was a wealth of information, a bit historical, and more cultural, which made it emensely enjoyable. Her English was perfect and easy to understand. We cycled through all parts of the city...which is basically flat, so not strenuous. We stopped at all the markets, and other sites. Highly recommend
