Description

Explore a subtropical oasis filled with exotic birds, dolphins, and spectacular scenery on a visit to Palmitos Park. With a location amid a lush valley of palm trees, the park offers you a chance to admire the scenic interior of Gran Canaira and the diverse wildlife that the island has to offer.

When you enter the park, keep an eye out to see the incredible diversity of the local creatures. The area hosts more than 1,500 exotic birds representing more than 200 species, including toucans, hummingbirds, peacocks, ibis, flamingos, hornbills and parrots, as well as an aquarium, butterfly house, cactus garden, and orchid house.

The botanical gardens and zoo are among the most important of their kind in the world, featuring hundreds of birds, dozens of mammals and reptiles, and thousands of fish, as well as thousands of palm trees, cacti, and other plants. Don't miss is the parrot show, where you can see these intelligent birds riding bicycles, painting, doing puzzles, and even counting to 10.
