Visit a family-run ranch for a horseback ride on the slopes of Haleakala. Your route takes you through the largest working cattle ranch on Maui and at 4,000 feet (1,219 m), the air is crisp and the views are far-reaching.

Your adventure starts with a quick briefing from your guide and a "meet and greet" with your experienced horse. Then get saddled up and head out along the green pastures on the slopes of the dormant Haleakala volcano.

The family-run ranch has been operating since the late 1800s—the early Paniolo (Hawaiian cowboys) days. Today, more than 125 years later, the open pastures continue to house cattle and other farm animals and the open landscape is perfect for a leisurely ride. Rolling hills and stunning ocean views are just some of the highlights on this morning ride.
