Begin your day with a private morning pickup and depart to Kinabalu Park Headquarters to register your climb. Here is where you procure your ID tag, meet your knowledgeable mountain guide, and collect your packed lunch. Proceed to the starting point at Timpohon Gate, where your quest to conquer the summit of Borneo’s highest mountain begins.

Your hike takes you toward Laban Rata Rest House, situated 10,735 feet (3,272 m) high. Pass by various types of captivating greenery like oak and chestnut trees. Keep an eye out for playful birds and wildlife as you breathe in the fresh air of this alpine environment.

Enjoy a buffet dinner and rest early, because you wake up around 2 AM to eat a fueling breakfast and depart toward the summit of Low’s Peak, for spectacular views of the sunrise above the clouds. Later, descend back to Laban Rata and trek down to Timpohon Gate with your private guide.

  • Children 2 and younger are complimentary when accompanied by a paying adult; however, children 17 and younger are not recommended to participate in the activity.

  • If you are pregnant, you should not take part.

  • If you have back, neck, lower back, joint, and/or muscular problems, you should carefully consider whether to participate.

  • If you fear heights, you should not take part in this activity.

  • 1 mountain guide is allowed to take a maximum of 5 climbers at a time. Additional surcharges of RM 250 per guide is applicable and payable on the day of the activity.

  • An additional surcharge of RM 15 per hour is applicable if you reach Timpohon Gate after 4 PM and is payable on the day of your activity.
