Description

Learn to rappel in a private botanical garden on Maui's northern coast. With top-rated equipment, experienced guides, and expert instruction, tackle a jungle cliff and 2 different waterfalls. Then wind down with a delicious lunch.

Ride along Hana Highway, absorbing the verdant landscapes and glossy blue ocean expanses. Then arrive at a 30-acre (12-ha) botanical garden, privately owned and operated. Meet your guides—true experts in their field—and get fitted with gear that meets or exceeds industry standards.

With your backpack, water shoes, and rappelling equipment in tow, hike along valley trails to your first stop, a 40-foot (13-m) jungle cliff. Here your guide trains you to use your harness and rope with utmost efficiency and safety. Now you're ready for your dry run. Practice until you feel comfortable; then move on.

Your next phase is a 50-foot (15-m) waterfall. The water tickles your feet as you rappel down into a large, natural pool. Your rope, which supports up to 6,000 pounds (2,722 kg), is held by 3 separate anchors, and your guides keep a close eye on your progress.

Now that you're in the groove, increase the degree of difficulty with your last “rap” of the day, a 30-foot (9-m) waterfall. Next, hike up our 300-foot jungle stair master to the base shed. Once you're dried off and changed, re-live all the excitement over a delicious lunch, with fresh fruit and bottled water.

My wife and I loved it. It wasnt to difficult. They really take the time to show and demonstrate how to rappel. Would highly recommend
