Connect to the ocean at SeaWorld San Diego. Race like a ray on Manta the ride, watch whales leap at the One Ocean show, and see—and sometimes feel—sea creatures up close at Explorer's Reef and Shark Encounter. Top off your trip with a visit to the Aquatica waterpark.

Just past the SeaWorld San Diego entrance, Explorer's Reef lets you literally get hands-on with a variety of fish in 4 different touch pools, where you can have your fingers tickled by cleaner fish and discover what a bamboo shark feels like. A walk through Shark Encounter's underwater viewing tunnel lets you see these mysterious swimming predators from nearly every angle.

For fast thrills, the Manta flying roller coaster tilts you parallel to the ground and sends you down a twisting, plunging trip that starts with an inverted nosedive. The park's One Ocean show centers on human-ocean interaction. Orcas jump skyward, dancing fountains dot the water, and a Splash Zone seat gives you submerged views of whales flapping their fins to drench you with water.

Visit the Aquatica waterpark and cool off with waves ranging from serene to extreme at the wave pool. If you are looking for the biggest thrill in the park, make a splash at the newest attraction, Taumata Racer—a high-speed competitive mat ride where you meet adventure headfirst. If you prefer a more relaxed way to cool off, float in a tube on the lazy river or enjoy smaller toddler-friendly slides.
