Sit-On-Top & Sea Kayak Rentals

by Vancouver Water Adventures Nonrefundable No booking or credit card fees

Paddle through Vancouver's many bays and harbors as you take in the gorgeous sights of the coast while kayaking across the water at your own pace. Choose to rent either a sea kayak or a sit-on-top kayak and head into the water to navigate your own path along the city's skyline and parks.

If you decide to go with a sit-on-top kayak, you can start your journey at either Granville Island or Kitsilano Beach, while sea kayaks are available only at the Kitsilano Beach location. Feel free to choose whichever kayak you prefer, but know that sit-on-tops are generally seen as the more user friendly option, especially for beginners.

Once you've taken your seat either on top of or inside of your kayak, make your way out into the English Bay, where your vantage point becomes all the more epic as you get further out into the sea. Here, you can see the city's skyline, where an abundance of modern high rises dominate the heavens. Paddle out to the city's enormous Stanley Park, an evergreen peninsula that is home to thousands of Douglas fir and Sitka spruce trees.

If you're feeling adventurous and want to give your arms a workout, head north to see the charming white lighthouse at Point Atkinson and then venture on to circle around Bowen Island, a tourist friendly isle with shops and restaurants. After an hour or two of paddling, head back to your starting point with a gained perspective of how impressive Vancouver looks from the water.
