Immerse yourself in the culture of the First Nations with a visit to the Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre, built by members of these Aboriginal Nations themselves. Meet artists and ambassadors, try on traditional dress, engage in crafts, and learn about ancestral legends, songs, and ceremonies.

You're greeted by a welcome song as you enter the Cultural Centre, and from there, you can partake in a guided tour of the collections—each guide has their own story to share—or explore the displays and exhibits on your own.

Watch an informative film about the 2 nations' histories, get a hands-on look at crafts and arts like basket weaving, canoe making, and tattoos, and learn about the symbolism and meaning behind traditional carvings, regalia, legends, and art.

Beat a drum, watch a dance, and listen to the music that has been played in this traditional territory for centuries. Before you leave, stroll through the gift shop for a look at Coast Salish crafts and wares, and enjoy the serenity of the surrounding forest with a walk around the grounds.
