Excellent! 4.4/5 Expedia Guest Rating

The salty sea air fills your lungs as you climb aboard historic Clipper City, one of the largest passenger sailboats in operation today. Sit back and marvel at a bevy of The Big Apple’s historic sites as you float through tranquil New York Harbor.

With masts stretching 120 feet (36.6 m) above the water, Clipper City can carry up to 134 passengers, the most of any vessel of its kind in the United States. Once you depart from Battery Park, you are treated to sweeping views of the Brooklyn Bridge, the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and Governors Island.

As the winds change, you can help the crew raise the sails or take a turn at the vessel’s helm. Depending on weather, the captain may choose to sail through the Buttermilk Channel along Brooklyn’s waterfront, or south to the Verrazano Bridge, which spans the harbor’s entrance to the Atlantic Ocean.

Round out your voyage with a drink from the full on-deck bar as you drop canvas, cut the engines, and ply the harbor as explorers did centuries ago.
