Spend a day outside of the city with this excursion to the ancient city of Tulum and the amazing natural water park of Xel-Há. Explore the cliffside ruins of this former Mayan port before you are whisked away to a snorkeler's paradise filled with aquatic activities at Xel-Há Park.

You're conveniently picked up from your hotel and taken to the walled fortress of Tulum, one of the most beautiful Mayan cities, and the only one situated on a cliff overlooking the azure waters of the Caribbean. Visit the Temple of Frescoes, used for watching the movement of the sun; the Temple of the Diving God, with its mural of the Mayan Venus; and El Castillo, a temple with sweeping views of the ocean.

Then journey to Xel-Há , a natural aquarium and eco-park made up of inlets, cenotes, and lagoons fed by the world’s longest underground river. Grab snorkeling gear and dive in to the warm waters. Spot species like the yellow stripped grunt, the low-swimming southern stingray, and the ethereal angelfish as you swim among the mangroves.

Continue to the Mayan Cave, a magnificent covered cenote, where sunlight from holes in the cave roof shine upon the clear blue waters below. Or enjoy some traditional Mexican cuisine at one of the park's restaurants or just relax and soak up some rays on the ocean shore. The day is yours until it’s time to head back to your hotel.
