Description

Hit the streets of Soho as the sun goes down, traipsing between international eateries and historic English pubs to taste all the flavors of this vibrant and diverse district. Hear about the neighborhood that gave birth to rock 'n' roll legends as you feast on everything from bangers and mash to dim sum.

Meet up with your guide and start your food-centric exploration of bustling Soho, listening to tales about stars who can trace their roots back to this pocket of central London like the Rolling Stones, David Bowie, and the Who. See where John Lennon first performed, and scope out theaters that stayed open during World War II, even as the city was under constant bombardment.

Scope out the commemorative blue plaques that mark the former residences of famous Soho-dwellers past, and pop into a pub for a crisp gin and tonic along with a proper British beef pie. Explore more hearty English cuisine with a gourmet plate of sausage and mash at a Grade II-listed public house, noteworthy for its age and authentic aesthetic.

Next, sample some of the international cuisine on offer in this diverse district. Wash down cured, artisan Spanish ham with a glass of robust red wine, sip on steaming green tea as you bite into ginger-scented dumplings in Chinatown, and wrap up your outing on a sweet note with a decadent bite of creamy, espresso-infused tiramisu.

Enthusiastic guides and plenty of chatter, but food offerings were very meagre: nothing like what would be expected from the high price charged for the tour

Josh was a great resource and a lot of fun with our group. It was a lot of fun and he took us places tourists wouldn’t have found and even many Local residents.

Absolutely superb. Food items were perfectly chosen and in such great portions! Learned so much about the history and background of this exciting neighborhood. Tour guide was excellent (and a great singer!). Other people in the intimate tour group were so lovely, and restaurant partners were super nice as well. Grateful to the Eating London staff (especially Nicole!) for helping to make this such a wonderful birthday activity. One of the best tour experiences I've ever had - can't wait to try their other ones!
