Description

Over 50 FIVE STAR RATED reviews for this TOUR!!

See the best Sonoma County has to offer on horseback!

Starting at The Ranch at Lake Sonoma this tour makes a figure 8, first trekking up to the Skaggs Vista viewpoint overlooking the left arm of Lake Sonoma and the rugged and mountainous terrain surrounding. From this point you can see Sonoma's highest elevation winery and even see Mt. St. Helena and Napa!

Heading back down the hill we then cross over to the Overlook Mountain (acclaimed as one of the best views in the county by travel professionals) and overlook hundreds of acres of vineyards in the Dry Creek Valley AVA and Alexander Valley AVA. After passing through a small redwood forest, we go underneath “The Overlook” a wooden structure built for viewing the lake and surrounding vineyards and then head back to the Ranch.

Look out for all kinds of wildlife including bald eagles, the sonoma chipmunk, white tail deer, and wild boar, An incredible view ride and not recommended for those uncomfortable with heights.

After your tour relax at the Ranch in the Redwood Barn overlooking the lake, have a drink at the bar, mill around in the gift shop, or try your hand at the lasso!
