Description

Improve your skills while visiting one of the world's largest wine-producing regions and gain a thorough understanding of wine varieties and how to taste them. Join a sampling and blending workshop, discover your wine profile, and create your very own cuvée (blend).

In Bordeaux, see why France is one of the largest wine producers in the world with more than 400 named and regulated appellations (wine regions) including the Loire Valley, Burgundy, Champagne, Provence, and Alsace. Start your course with a Tour de France of wines and get to know the basic notions of terroir (characteristics from geography and climate) and appellation through tasting 4 wines from different renowned regions of France.

With a chance to try red and white varieties, expand your wine knowledge in Bordeaux—the largest wine-growing region in France and one of the leading producers of high-quality wines in the world. Here, Margaux, Saint-Emilion, Sauternes, and Pessac-Léognan are magic names that make wine lovers salivate.

During your lesson, soak up tidbits and learn that Bordeaux wines are blends made from various types of grapes. After trying the different varieties, embrace the chance to create your own cuvée according to your palate. To conclude this instructive venture, savor a traditional French apéritif with fresh bread and an assortment of French cheeses and put what you just learned into practice.

I booked this experience for me and my husband, it was very enjoyable and informative. We learned so many things we didn't know. The host was excellent and the place was nice. I would recommended it as a must to anyone visiting Bordeaux.
