For the price, the overall experience was a real let down. On positive side the property seems nice and was certainly clean, with ample parking. However the service experience was really mixed. Nice greeting at checkin but when I called to ask about adjusting thermostat in the room I was clearly bothering the staff member who made a half-hearted attempt to help and then said she would call maintenance. Whether she did or not, who knows, but nobody came to help. I subsequently find out the lack of temp control in the rooms is a common complaint. It could not have been news to the staff member I spoke with so really feel like I was given the run around. Dinner was fine - although $30 for average pasta in a smallish portion was just ok. Ordered a la carte off the breakfast menu - order arrived late and incorrect. 15 mins later they came back with adjusted items - still wrong and now cold to boot. Staff was apologetic and made half hearted attempt to make it right but damage done. For the price the overall experience was really disappointing - would not return at this price point.

Great hotel! Enjoy the area, grounds and decor. Restaurants were good and they had a variety to choose from. Walking trails nearby. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful.

A beautiful location ideal for a short break post cruising from Vancouver to Alaska. There are many much cheaper options in the area but we picked The Alyeska Resort because of the aerial trams, lifts up the slopes and most of all the Fantastic Restaurants at the top - however on arrival we found that the trams and lifts were down for maintenance and the restaurants at the top were closed and all of the walking trails up the mountain were closed. The tram opened on our final day and despite less than perfect weather the view was spectacular, but it needs to be noted that the tram and lifts are expensive, with no concession for staying at the hotel! Clearly we relayed all of this to the hotel but despite a sorry were offered no reduction. I feel that when the major selling points of a resort are not going to be available then this need to be clear prior to booking. In summary we were very disappointed, a sad ending to what had been a wonderful holiday.
