What a gem!
This sweet place is a perfect getaway! From the pool/ping pong table to karaoke it was a fabulous getaway for our family of 6. Plenty of room for everyone and all the necessities we needed were there! Though we didn't have snow, we made the best out of our time!

Family Christmas Getaway
Six of us came up to Ashford for 2 days. The place is easy to find and everything about check-in was simple. All the appliances as well as the water (plenty of hot!) were high quality and kind of new. Big televisions and plenty of room. The landscaping was a bit underwhelming, and the house is a little older, but it's right in the forest and a stone's throw from Rainier. We couldn't try out the firepit because it rained, but it's there as well as a gas grill. All in all, for a laid back few days, this is a good place.

Great location, Nice house
The house was perfect for the smaller group we had, but it can fit a lot more people (upto 10). The rooms and bathroom are well kept. Overall happy with the stay.

Great Location, Decent Stay
This location is wonderful if you’re not actually staying in Mt. Rainer National Park. The host was kind and communicative and helpful when we reached out about where we could get propane for the grill. The host has thoughtfully stocked the house with everything you need. However, the cleanliness of this place was questionable - there were a significant amount of crumbs and dust in the kitchen cabinets. While the kitchen had a great amount of utensils and was very functional for cooking, I wasn’t able to trust the dishes were clean so I washed them again before use. The listing states. filtration system was installed for the water and that should have taken care of the “yellow” water noted in other reviews. Unfortunately, there were a few times when the water turned from clear to yellow and that gave me concern that their system may not be functioning as intended. We did not drink the water and I would advise others who stay not to. The house was pretty haphazardly put together. Most of the electrical wiring was clearly not done professionally as it is visible and that concerned me a bit. Overall this is a great budget-friendly stay close to the entrance of the park. But you’re not going to get a “cabin feel” from this location, which is clear even from the listing. My family and I enjoyed our stay and are grateful this location was available to us, however, I personally would not choose to stay in the future for some of the reasons I noted.

Great location for the park
We had a quick stay on our way to explore Mt Rainier. The house had everything we needed and more. It was such a great perk to have the bottled drinking water provided. It was clean and comfortable. Lots of games and activities too.

Smelly house; bedsheets hadn't been changed
I am surprised by the previous reviews of this home, which led me to pay a very high price to stay at this manufactured home with a good location very close to Mt. Rainier's entrance. What no one in the previous reviews mentioned is that this home smells like an ash tray. In fact, the ash trays from previous guests had not been cleaned out. Further, upon entering I checked for cleanliness by pulling back the comforters on the beds. All 3 beds had USED sheets covered in body HAIR. No one had even tried to make the sheets appear as though they were fresh. I contacted the owner, who immediately sent over the maid. The maid told me that the owner's children had "cleaned" the home that day. Needless to say, given the smell and gross beds (and weird security cameras), my family was not comfortable staying here and we drove back to the city. The owner told me he did not need to do anything for me, but did send back a very small refunding, which was even less than what I was charged for cleaning fees (for a home that was cleaned by kids). I was also charged for kids and pets, which never set foot in the house. The host let me down by not cleaning the home and thinks it's ok because he called the maid to fix it upon my arrival. You lose trust with your guests and gross them out if they arrive to dirty/hairy sheets and cigarette butts. He made a mistake and isn't owning it. I feel robbed. Lastly, stay here ONLY if you smoke or don't mind the smell of stale smoke.
