The Sonesta Select Atlanta Cumberland Galleria is a fantastic place to stay while in Atlanta. Walking distance from the Galleria Mall and Convention center. The Battery and ballpark are just a short ride away. Would definitely stay there again.

I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay at this property unless you’re trying to save a couple bucks for no more than a day. 1. When I arrived my refrigerator wasn’t clean which was an inconvenience on their end obviously. I called down and ask them if they could clean it in the morning, I was told I’d be out on the list. I inquired about it with another front desk person in the morning, and if they could come an hour or two later when I leave. she said they would have to come now because they have other people. the issue with this was I was still occupying my room and didn’t need the extra noise. Basically I was inconvenienced and wasn’t prioritized as well which rubbed me the wrong way and set the standard for how issues are being handled. 2.) Advertised in room dining, and they have it on their phones. There is no in room dining. The staff won’t even bring the food up to you. 3.) Gym is horrible with broken machines, needs to be updated.

1. Check in was not the best at all. Arrived 5/23 around 4pm to see some of the staff outside the property talking to themselves and paid me no mind at all. No greeting, no assistance, not even a glance in my direction. I wouldn’t have realized that they were staff until I checked in. I walked past them and up to an empty check in desk. After about 2 mins of standing there, one lady from the group outside comes inside to greet me and check me in. I can see that southern hospitality doesn’t exist here. 2. My room had an unpleasant smell coming from the vents when I walked in. How is it that a hotel has multiple reviews on this same issue and hasn’t done anything about it? Crazy. 3. My fridge didn’t have a freezer component but the property is selling frozen items in the lobby. 4. This room is way too small for the amount I paid for it. Views not too appealing either. 5. Majority of the reason why I booked this room was for the streaming amenities but when I got here, it wasn’t working at all. I asked for assistance with this and the director of maintenance came up, pressed 3 buttons and said there was nothing he could do about it. Then proceeded to ask me if I came all this way just to watch Netflix which was out of turn. That’s a weird of telling me that you aren’t qualified to do the job you’re being paid to do. I wouldn’t hire him to connect my WiFi to my phone. 6. The iron is faulty and leaked water all over my clothes. Refund please!

The property is perfectly located near truist park. Safe and quiet and walkable. The major downside was that our beddings had stains in them and we couldn’t find staff to see if we could replace them. Other than that, it definitely is a good location.

We got checked into the wrong room unbeknownst to us. Which ended up being a connecting room (which we did not request) to people we did not know. They were loud all night but that’s not even the worst part. We leave our room to come back to our door being open, we shrugged it off as we thought it could’ve been a mistake on our behalf. We finally get to bed and around 8 in the morning we are woken up to the maintenance manager quite literally screaming at our door from the outside, telling us to come outside because they assumed we where there unlawfully, when we got checked In, received room keys, and everything. We go down stairs only to find out that they put us in the wrong room completely. Had us mixed up with another person with the same last name, and that our room was considered vacant. So not only was the room we received not cleaned, we got the wrong room, some random person had a key to our room, and we where woken up out of our sleep by screaming at our door. We are currently in the process of trying to get a refund through Expedia if the manger allows. Definitely not a great experience for us, very unsafe for a traveling female.
