We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. Staff is absolutely excellent, very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is well located in the Historic Central District. The hotel is a little old but relatively well maintained. I’d recommend it.

The gentleman at the front desk helped us with EVERYTHING, from storing our bags when we went to Machupicchu, to breakfast, to late night pizza ordering. The establishment was clean, and we felt safe. Amazing building with Incan wall base, with colonial upper. Unique and special.

Situated conveniently near city center and walking distance to most attractions. The hotel itself is a historic building. Staff were very friendly. Rooms were clean and they did and excellent job with housekeeping. Breakfast was quite basic but if they would help pack a bag of fruit and sandwich if there is an early tour and we would missed the regular breakfast. Few caveats: 1. Hot water is not 24/7, and it doesn't get very hot. 2. It's an old building, the floor creeks and could hear that clearly at night time 3. Breakfast said to start at 6am, but it would take until 6:30 to be fully ready.

Interesting hotel in a historic building and at a convenient location. 10min walk to the main square. Very friendly staff. Room is spacious and mostly comfortable. A few caveats: 1) breakfast should start at 6am but not ready until 6:30. 2) hot water is not 24/7, outside of evening/morning hours need to ask staff. 3) floor creaks badly, can hear neighbors if they walk in middle of night.

Characterful hotel choice in Cuzco
Unaytambo Boutique Hotel is situated in an old colonial building based on superb quality Inca foundations. Our room was spacious and comfortable. All the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast provided a reasonable range of sweet and savoury items with cooked eggs/omelettes available on request. The hotel is close to the centre of Cuzco and there are plenty of excellent restaurants and historic attractions available within a short walk. Much more characterful than some of the chain hotels in the city.

This hotel was such a pleasure to stay in. The staff was very accomodating. The rooms were spacious , with gorgeous hard wood floors , and peruvian art and textile furnishing. I can't say enough positive things about this establishment .

All but ruined the trip to Cusco
They didn't have my 3 night reservation on file from Hotels.com (although I had email confirmation) and one of the nights did not have any vacancy. They were quite unaffected by the idea that a woman and her six year old daughter did not have a place to stay. Their response was a mere shrug and statement "We didn't receive your reservation, what are we supposed to do?" The internet was terrible, without cell service or wifi, I couldn't call to make other arrangements as I kept getting disconnected. I was traveling with a larger group and two of the other people were also staying here. I was able to have a third bed put in their room (for a charge which took 2 days of negotiation to remove from my bill) and my daughter went to stay with other people in a better hotel with more space. Everyday I had to change rooms, they gave assistance if they happened to be available, but most of the time the one or two people working was occupied elsewhere. This also required a lot of waiting to get let in and out of the front door, waiting for a room to be vacated, waiting to ask someone to bring a glass of water to breakfast, etc.

Cozy place
We were a group of 8 & found this place to be very cozy and it felt like a home rather than hotel. The rooms surround the courtyard which in the morning is so sunny & warm; the perfect place to relax before a busy tourist day. The rooms we had were all lovely and quiet as the hotel sits off of a busy street. The staff booked dinners for us, they set up drivers for us, they couldn't do enough for us. They even had breakfast ready for us when we had a very earlier pick up to start the Inca Trail. Overall it was a great experience & we will definitely refer and hopefully get back for another stay!

staying in a bit of history
The taxi pick up from the station was very friendly and didnt charge us extra to bring us to the atm and restaurant to have dinner after sending us to our hotel. We didnt have any more cash left with us and he needed to collect payment on the day. Hotel staff friendly enough. If you want to stay in a hotel with a bit of history, this is really cool and within walking distance to plaza des armas. One negative point is that when we asked for a late checkout, they immediately told us it was chargeable.

Great hotel, didn't get our double room
Booked in advance for two nights either side of our Inca Trail trek for a double room for our honeymoon. Got a twin room both nights, all the doubles were taken. While I appreciate we weren't staying there long, I expect what I've booked, especially for my honeymoon! Shame, as the staff were very helpful and the rooms were lovely. Be aware if you are booking the same.

Comfortable room with perfect cleanliness
The room I stayed was small but very clean and comfortable with simple and lovely design. Hotel staffs speak perfect English and are very friendly. They offered me to keep my luggage during my trip to Machu Picchu as well as gave me morning call at 4am. If you look for a comfortable room with reasonable price I'd recommend this.

An historic jewel and exceptional staff
This was a lucky find as we ventured back to Cusco one evening after visiting Machu Picchu. The rooms are large & lovely, situated around a tranquil open air courtyard, where you can opt to enjoy breakfast or relax and catch up on email. (We did both.) This historic hotel is on a small pedestrian street and has original thick adobe/stucco walls so there was virtually no city noise in the room or the courtyard even though you are across from the Plaza Santa Domingo and nearby Qorikancha. The staff were delightful and infinitely helpful as we had to recover a lost bag from the trip as well. Would definitely return.

Very friendly staff but accommodations are lacking
If you decide to stay at this hotel, make certain to take a shower at an off time. I made the mistake of waiting until the morning when I got a dribble of water. Also, there was no heat in the room. The hotel itself looks very nice and the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Location is also very close to the main plaza. I also received email in advance regarding my airport pickup. Nice touch as I was traveling alone and didn't know how to get into town. As long as a hot shower in the morning and heat is not required for you, this is a pleasant stay.

Great location, wonderful staff
Location is only a couple of blocks from the Plaza de Armas, a big plus. The receptionist was lovely, gave us tea while our room was readied, and arranged a free transport to the airport for the next morning. Rooms were chilly this time of year... old thick stone walls, but ours came with a heater and it warmed up quite quickly.
