"The resort is nice, and I love that everything is walkable, including the water park. There's a cart to take you there if needed. The water park is great for kids, though only they can use the tubes. An adult section is planned for next year. The staff was mixed. "Staff at RIU is amazing, they provide excellent service. Location is great with beautiful beach 🏝️. Property is well maintained. Food is great. Spa and wellness, very good. The only thing where I would like to see some improvements are rooms that can use some updates, bed mattresses are slightly too firm for my preference. Overall I would recommend this property to my friends and family."

"I made a reservation for Grand Bavaro but i had to do an upgrade to Bahia principe Luxury Esmeralda, I loved Esmeralda for being on the first line close to the beach, the things i did not like was the air conditioning not being on, on the buffet and restaurants, the buffet close to the beach did not have too many options to eat and the most of the staff was not helpful you had to ask to many times for water or drinks on the buffet."
