"This place in Phoenix needs a new pastry chef. We had desserts a couple of times, and they were not good. If you put a pastry disk on top of a pudding, you should be able to put your fork through it. If you get a pastry disk with canned peaches on it, it should be fresh.

"The property was really nice and the suite was spacious; however, the housekeeping staff did not service our room the last day. Overall, the location is convenient and there was access to restaurants, sporting venues, and the convention center."
"Valet parking is very expensive. Self parking is not convenient as it is across the street. Inside the hotel is good. Service, cleanliness and restaurant are good. "
"The property was great for our purposes. Went to fan fusion and it was a short walk so we didnt have to worry about parking the car everyday and if we wanted a respite from the convention it was a short walk. Will stay here again"
"Generally all was pleasant about this downtown Phoenix lodging EXCEPT there was NO elevator so we had to lug our heavy load up to the 2nd floor. We were pleased that there wasn't breakfast offered because we wanted to eat at Matts Big Breakfast nearby...best bacon I've ever eaten!"

"The San Carlos hotel has this classy vintage vibe to it and the location is close to everything that in Downtown. Only negative was the parking situation but no big deal. Will stay again. "

"We chose the downtown Kimpton location, because I wanted to avoid large resort fees. The staff couldn't have been any kinder! My only note is that the rooms (we rented 2 rooms), seemed to show some wear & tear on the furniture. The bench had a large stain on it & the furniture had nicks on it. Other than that, the rooms were clean."
