Home Near Crystal Mountain, Mt Rainier and Chinook Pass

Spend your next vacation in a beautiful Crystal River Ranch mountain home near the Crystal mountain ski area and Mount Rainier Sunrise Lodge. In the spring, summer and fall travel across Chinook pass or White Pass over the Cascade Mountains or drive Cayuse Pass to Mt. Rainier’s Paradise Lodge. The CRR home is 65 miles, 90 minutes, from Seattle off highway 410, 10 miles from the White River/Sunrise entrance of Mt Rainier National Park and 18 miles from the Crystal Mountain ski area. In addition to riding the gondola to the 6872' Crystal Mountain Summit House for an alpine dinner, spectacular views of Mt. Rainier and a mountain top alpine adventure Crystal offers special summer events in their day lodge and base meadow.
In July through September the wild flowers on the upper elevations Mt. Rainier and Crystal are blooming. The National forest offers multiple day hike and overnight trails to crystal clear lakes and alpine meadows. From the White River campground experience high alpine weather and walk on the Inner glacier, the second most popular approach to Mt. Rainier’s summit. Or, drive to Sunrise and a Mt. Rainier National Park day lodge. The 90 mile Mount Rainer Wonderland trail circumnavigates the mountain and travels through Sunrise and the White River campground.
In the lowlands off highway 410 explore the banks of three rivers, go for a mountain bike ride , horseback ride, fish, relax or take a motorcycle trip across the Cascade Mountains on the Naches trail. Crystal River Ranch has a river walk, community center and recreation area. The cabin has a supply of outdoor furniture, a hammock and a tree swing for the kids.
Our Crystal River Ranch home accommodates a maximum of 6 people in three bedrooms, on two queen beds and two single beds. The loft bedroom is large and has its own bathroom. The second bathroom and two bedrooms are located on the main floor.
CRR is a community of part time and full time residents located at 2300’. A local herd of Elk wander the community and can be viewed on the roads, in yards and on the lawn of the community center. There are no businesses in the Ranch but a handful of stores and one dining/tavern option are two miles west in Greenwater. There are additional dining and store options east at Alta Vista and Crystal mountain or further west beyond Greenwater in Enumclaw.
The cabin is furnished with linens, towels, blankets, cutlery and all the pans you can imagine using. The only thing missing is you, your food, clothing, personal toiletries and 5 friends.

Spring Weekend Getaway
We loved staying here for an early Spring weekend to enjoy the snow at Crystal Mountain before it melts away. Three of us are skiers and the boot warmers at the entrance of the home were awesome, as well as the Lot A parking pass so we didn't have to rush in the morning. The kitchen was huge and well equipped with everything we needed (we made pasta/salad the first night, and pizza the second). While there were a few ants, Tom recommended we spray them down with Windex, and it didn't bother us with how much it was raining outside and being in nature. Plus they never got into any of our food and mostly stayed around the compost area. Clear arrival instructions, tons of games to choose from too, definitely recommended for a small group!

Lovely cabin for weekend skiing
This cabin felt homey and it was perfect for our group of six friends headed to Crystal Mountain for the weekend. It had all of the amenities that I could have asked for (including a hot tub and fireplace). We enjoyed playing Bananagrams and watching movies from the DVD selection (Blade and Mrs. Doubtfire). Couches were comfortable, water in the showers was hot, and the owner even threw in a Crystal Mountain parking pass. Thank you for the hospitality, Tom!

Wonderful cozy cabin near Crystal
Our family of five (2 teens, 1 child) loved our stay at Tom’s cabin. They have everything you might need - including a generator in case of a power outage! Our stay could have easily been cut short considering the 2 day power outage. But we stayed cozy and warm inside, and the hot tub felt amazing after our ski days. It’s about a 30m drive up to Crystal from the cabin. We loved seeing the elk roam the neighborhood and the kids loved playing in the snow. We will 100% rent again, can’t wait for another ski weekend or a summer hike trip. Thank you!!

Happy Hikers
We totally enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the future. We walked into the cabin and felt totally welcome, it’s beautiful and homey. The cabin is furnished with many items used for cooking so if you forget something it might be available. Location is perfect for various hiking locations. After a big day of hiking the hot tub was perfect. The property is set up for bonfires but there was a burning ban during our stay. Next time. I managed to slip into a creek on a hike, filling my boots with water, the boot dryer at the cabin came in quite handy. This rental is definitely a 5 star in my book! Thank you Tom!

Excellent property
This was the second time we stayed in this cabin and it has everything! We stayed with friends and did all of our own cooking. The kitchen had everything we needed! All of the rooms were very clean and organized. The hot tub was a treat. The property was beautiful with access to a hammock, swings, and the community trail system. There are elk that roam throughout the community and were often visible nearby. We were also able to stargaze using the comfortable outdoor Adirondack chairs. Wonderful place! We hope to return again in the future.

Quiet getaway with the comfort of hime
We loved staying here and enjoyed our days hiking while relaxing on the patio or hammock. The house was the perfect setup for our family. It's great for kids with some toys and games, we were also very surprised by the swings in the yard which our 5 year loved. Tom is a great host, communicating early with all the necessary details. Check out was also a breeze. We will definitely come back for another stay.

Perfect mountain getaway!
The pictures do not do this place justice. The furnishings, cleanliness, and general vibes are incredible. We really appreciated the fire at night, the comfortable couches, and the even more comfortable beds. Everything was as communicated by the host and we had no issues. Also really appreciated all the detail that went into the suggested activities for the area, including local hikes! We had ours planned before we came but now have ideas for a second trip. Would recommend if you're looking for a retreat to Mt Rainier!

Lovely stay in Crystal River Ranch
We had a great time at this cabin, bringing along our young kids for an end of season ski trip. The location terrific, and the house well laid out for families and groups. The new hot tub is a great addition. We didn't use the firepit, but was also a nice addition had we desired to sit outside. The kitchen was well equipped, and great communication with the owner. We will definitely plan on returning!

Short drive to Crystal Mountain. Lovey peaceful neighborhood with gentle elk roaming around looking for snacks.
