It won't be a fit if you are looking for a modern, trendy beach house, but if you want a cool, laid back vibe with old school, surf hut charm, Moon Baby will be a perfect fit for you like it was for us. "Our whole family agrees that this location with the proximity to gulf AND lake is ideal. It's encouraging to see the improvements that have been made to this beach house over the past few years, too. All of that kind of pales though when you start seeing roaches. There were enough sightings downstairs to make our grandchildren want to sleep upstairs with us. Luckily we had a spare room for them. The ones in the kitchen and family area were too much, though! "We stayed here for family outing in November. The property is well described- roomy house and bedrooms- comfortable. The big selling point for us was the open front deck when weather was nice and then the front screened in porch for rainy days or buggy nights. Good location and free bikes are a plus."

"Floors are very uneven Front entrance is a fall hazard with cement blocks and large gaps plus the two shallow front steps leading into the house are rotten and falling apart Dumpster parking Master Bedroom AC not working Master bedroom ceiling fan not working Master bedroom bathroom floor has water coming through plus master bath shower almost didn’t drain, had to be sewer snaked Back deck is rotted and falling apart, both sets of steps leading down are rotten Backyard not cut or bushes...

"We always love Grayton Beach! This home was perfect for our family! Location was great! We brought our 2 mini Aussies which was even better. Older furniture and not all the bells and whistles of other homes we have stayed at but the sacrifice was ok with us since the dogs could go. We would stay there again."
