The lake was very relaxing. Even got some canoeing/kayaking in. A great place for quiet relaxation. The hot tub helped as well!"

" We had a very weekend stay at Bumpass in early October. The house is conveniently located near a marina and dollar general. We had 3 adults and 3 kids in our group and we had enough space to spread out; could have probably done a couple more people still felt good about the space. There are three living areas with a basement movie room (very cool), a main floor living room with large tv, and a screened in patio. There are lots of board games as well that we got into. There is also the large outdoor deck with grill AND Blackstone. The hot tub is certainly a nice touch as well! The outdoor property is well appointed with nice fire pit, frisbee golf “hole”, nice dock with sitting area, good place for lake swimming off the dock, and canoes, kayaks and paddle boards! Despite having enough room for our group, I did think the home felt a little smaller than the pictures suggest. Be prepared to bring all of your own kitchen supplies; there are no supplies, not even salt and pepper. Finally be aware that the hot tub will not be hot when you arrive, unless you are adjacent to a prior stay; it is kept at 85F when the house is not rented. Overall it was a very nice rental. My family and I really enjoyed our weekend."

"Beautiful house on the lake in a private location "

"Our family of 5 (two adults and three kids ages 7, 7 and 3.5) really enjoyed our 4-night stay at Eagle's Nest Cottage on Lake Anna. This was our first time visiting Lake Anna. I specifically chose this rental for the amazing view, the ability to swim on the property, the kayaks and paddle boat, the queen sized bunk beds and the fact it was fully renovated. This property did not disappoint. The views of the lake were beautiful. The sun came up over the tree line behind the lake and it was so nice to sit outside on the deck or on the pier in one of the adirondack chairs with a coffee and watch the sky change colors and listen to all the birds singing as the sun came up. We loved watching the lake sparkle and dance with sunlight throughout the day. The cottage was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the bath towels were thick and plush. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need, including spices to cook with. My kids loved the bunk beds, which were clearly custom built and very sturdy. There were plenty of games for all ages and we enjoyed playing Twister, Charades and Guesstures and corn hole outside. The kids loved drawing pictures and writing each other notes on the refrigerator LCD screen. They also loved the color changing fireplace and lights in the bathroom. We enjoyed taking out the paddle boat and kayaks and fishing from the pier. The kids enjoyed swimming and collecting clam shells. Christine was very responsive and so very kind. Just perfect!!"
